On March 23, 2020, we announced that the 2020 ALLIANCE Credit Union Annual Meeting of members was being postponed. Today, we would like to announce that the 80th Annual Meeting has been rescheduled.

The dinner and prize portion of the meeting has been cancelled. However, we will still conduct a short business meeting beginning at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

This year's meeting will be held via phone conference. Members will be notified of the registration process and call details via email approximately one week prior to the May 28th meeting. Please mark your calendar and watch for upcoming event details.

We appreciate your membership and your understanding as we navigate the current social distancing mandates passed down from state and local government.

Board of Directors Election Process

The Nominating Committee

In accordance with the Credit Union bylaws (Section 3.06), the Chairman of the Board of Directors shall “appoint a nominating committee of not less than three credit union members in good standing.” The required appointments are Vicki Ritcherson, Bob Clemmons, and Kenneth Ballard.

Nominations by the Nominating Committee

Also as directed by Credit Union bylaws (Section 3.06), “It shall be the duty of the nominating committee to nominate at least one member for each board vacancy, including any unexpired term, for which elections are to be held.” Therefore, the committee nominates the following members, each for three-year terms: Patsy Wilson, Darrel Crump, and Lesa Reed.

Nominations by Petition Procedure

In addition to candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee, members may be nominated by petition. The petition must nominate a member and include a written description of their qualifications and biographical data and must be signed by 2% of members in good standing (or 490 members). There will be no nominations from the floor and the election will not be conducted by ballot when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled.

The Board Secretary must receive any signed petition prior to 5:00pm on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 8401 Quaker Ave., Lubbock, Texas 79424. On the petition is an Agreement to Serve, that must be signed, certifying the petitioner is willing to serve for the term nominated. New Business

Any new business for the Annual Meeting must be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Board by Monday, March 9, 2020 at 8401 Quaker Ave., Lubbock, Texas 79424. Any new business submitted in writing to the Secretary will be responded to in writing at the Annual Meeting. There will not be a call for New Business at the meeting.


2020 Board of Directors Nominees

Patsy Ashley Wilson

Ms. Wilson has been involved with the Credit Union Movement for over 52 years. Patsy worked at ALLIANCE for over 34 years, retiring in 2000. While working for ALLIANCE her titles included Vice President and President. Ms. Wilson was elected to the Board of Directors in 2014 and serves as Board Secretary. She also serves on the Asset/Liability Committee. Ms. Wilson has completed all required regulatory Board training.

William Darrel Crump

Mr. Crump is a Texas Licensed Auctioneer as well as retired from law enforcement after a 35-year career with various city, county, and federal agencies. A member of ALLIANCE Credit Union for over 28 years, Mr. Crump has served on the Broadview Baptist Church Finance and Budget Committee and is currently a trustee for his church. Mr. Crump is a licensed Private Investigator in the State of Texas, and currently works under contract with a private company conducting background investigations for federal agencies. Mr. Crump has served on the ALLIANCE Board of Directors for the past six years. He has completed all required regulatory Board training.

Lesa Reed

Mrs. Reed is a Ransom Canyon resident and has been employed by BGR Architects for almost 20 years where she performs accounting and human resource duties. Prior to working at BGR Architects she worked in the financial industry as a teller, teller supervisor as well as a new account representative for 14 years.  Mrs. Reed has been a member of ALLIANCE Credit Union for over 20 years. She is ready to accept a position on the Board of Directors at ALLIANCE Credit Union and is excited to impact the future of the Credit Union Movement in West Texas.
