Why should I care about Financial Literacy?

Today roughly two-thirds of Americans could not pass a basic financial literacy exam, despite 44% of people in the U.S. answering "very" or "extremely" literate in a report done by Raddon. This may sound shocking but considering only 21 states in the U.S. require financial education, many children and young adults will receive financial education from family and friends. For many, this means they will enter adulthood without any form of financial education. As many Americans continue to make terrible financial moves let us tell you about the tool that will help you avoid falling down the same path, Zogo.

What is Zogo

Founded in 2018 by Bolun Li, Zogo is an app-based tool created to gamify financial education.  This app was created to teach personal finance by breaking down more extensive topics into bite-sized modules that users can easily absorb. Learning to be financially literate is not a fascinating task, so each Zogo module was created to be completed in about 2 minutes, offering rewards in the form of pineapples after a module has been completed. Even though being financially literate will benefit a person's wealth long-term in money saved and optimized, it is not felt immediately. This is why Zogo designed its modules to appeal to Generation Z and Millennial users who are not as motivated by retirement in 40 years. With Zogo, you are not only earning pineapples to redeem gift cards to your favorite places, you are also gaining the benefits of a financial education that you can use for the rest of your life.
